Guide · Mac clipboard history
You copied it. Then you copied something else.
Why the standard Mac clipboard only remembers one item, and how to keep today’s — and yesterday’s — copies on their own page.
Two ways to see past copies on a Mac
- macOS Tahoe’s built-in Spotlight list (short term): System Settings → Spotlight holds a flat list for 30 minutes, 8 hours, or 7 days.
- A daily book in your menu bar (long term): While Copybook is open in your Mac menu bar, every note, link, picture, and color you copy lands on today’s page as a sticker.
How to get back to last Tuesday in Copybook
- Flip the day strip along the bottom: Monday stays on Monday and Tuesday stays on Tuesday.
- Search across every page: Find a word, a webpage title, part of a link, or a color’s name like coral or mint.
- Click any sticker to copy it back: Ready to paste on your Mac.
